Forthave Spirits BLACK is a Brooklyn-made nocino crafted from underripe black walnuts hand-foraged in New York’s Hudson Valley each summer. Inspired by the traditional Italian walnut liqueur, the spirit is built entirely around the character of fresh black walnuts, with a long production process that spans roughly 18 months.
The walnuts are macerated in organic sugarcane spirit before the liqueur is sweetened with raw cane sugar and rested further to develop depth and complexity. The profile is rich and bittersweet, with notes of walnut husk, baking spice, dark cocoa, espresso, and gentle herbal bitterness balanced by a smooth, nutty finish.
