Fuenteseca 21 Year Reserva Tequila Anejo (750ml)
Produced at La Tequileña (NOM 1146) and created by Enrique Fonseca, this vintage-dated release represents one of the most extended aging programs in tequila.
Distilled in 1999 from 100% blue Weber agave, the spirit was aged for 21 years in a combination of oak barrels before bottling. Rather than blending across vintages, Fuenteseca highlights both the harvest year and the full duration of maturation, offering a transparent view of long-term aging in tequila.
After more than two decades in barrel, the profile is deeply evolved, showing rich oak influence alongside notes of dried fruit, cocoa, spice, leather, and roasted agave, with a long, structured finish. Despite its age, the tequila retains a core of agave character balanced against the intensity of the wood.
Fuenteseca’s extended aging approach is rare within tequila, making this release a distinctive example of how the spirit can develop over time in cask.
