Old Carter Batch TX-1 Barrel Strength Straight Bourbon (750ml)
Old Carter TX-1 is an 8 barrel blend of 10 and 11 year straight bourbons, distilled in Indiana and bottled at 116 proof. The blend pulls from two mash bills, including a 99 percent corn component and a 60/36/4 mix of corn, rye, and malted barley, giving the whiskey both richness and structure.
A portion of the blend was double-barreled for two and a half years in new American oak, adding additional texture and layering without pushing the oak too far forward.
The profile leans into dark chocolate, chicory, and light leather on the nose, followed by chocolate-covered banana, molasses, and a dense, rounded palate. The finish is steady and well integrated, with the proof carrying through cleanly.
A total of 1,482 bottles were produced, and this marks the first time this release has been available in Texas.
