Tequila Ocho Reposado builds on the same single-estate, vintage-dated approach as the blanco, with each bottling tied to a specific field and harvest. Made from 100% blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, it’s produced with a focus on transparency and site expression, then rested briefly in used American whiskey barrels.
The aging is intentionally light, typically just over two months, adding texture and subtle complexity without covering up the agave. The nose shows cooked agave, soft oak, and warm spice, with hints of citrus and light floral notes. On the palate, it’s balanced and precise, bringing together roasted agave, vanilla, and gentle baking spice, along with a touch of fruit and pepper. The oak is present but restrained, giving structure while keeping the agave front and center.
A great example of a more restrained, terroir-driven reposado. It leans toward clarity and detail rather than heavy barrel influence, making it just as compelling to sip as it is to compare across different vintages and estates.
